The 32-page cartoon describes the purpose and procedures of the different radiological examinations and addresses in particular the dangers and health protection issues related to radiation . Originally produced by three French radiological specialists , the cartoon was reworked by the organising committee of the Belgian Rontgen Centenary to improve its appeal to Belgian and other readers. The production of the final cartoon was subsidized by the EEC who recognized the importance of this work in particular for patients who have to undergo radiological examinations as well as doctors who intend to prescribe them.
