    Radiology and the Nobel Prizes


    In 1901 Rontgen was awarded the first Nobel Prize of physics for his discovery of X-rays. Aside from the later medical applications the discovery caused a real revolution in the study and understanding of molecular chemistry and physics .
    The spontaneous contributions of several professors of our Belgian universities, allowed this 80-page brochure to cover also the achievements of a number of scientist, who were awarded the Nobel Prize through specific applications of radiological techniques.
